Ferrosilicon is a combination of silicon، iron and some other elements. The amount of silicon in this compound can range from 10 to 90 percent، with the remainder being the element of iron. Ferrosilicon is widely used in the steel and casting industry and is used as a deoxygenating agent as well as creating an unbreakable structure in unbreakable cast iron.
